What an absolutely gorgeously perfect day for climbing. It was absolutely lovely. In-city high was 9c (48F), but in the sun at the base of the cliffs it was probably a few degrees warmer. It was warm enough to climb in one layer (long pants/shirt), and even belay that way for the afternoon, and cool enough that I didn't get all sweaty. Warm enough that my hands didn't get frozen/chilled on the rock, but cool enough that I didn't need chalk for most of the climbing. It was sunny, blue skies, little wind, perfect autumn weather. Just wow.
I am so glad I made it out. It was so nice, I'm almost tempted to desperately find someone to climb with tomorrow!
Actually, just called someone... I am going out climbing again tomorrow! :) :) :)
We climbed at Home Cliff -- I didn't do anything that really challenged me, but did do Piton Highway and Peggy's Route both again, and both are good long moderately challenging climbs. My hands still feel a bit tender, so didn't want to take another run up Lavender, though I was tempted.
