back to climbing in Ottawa

One of the nice things about going away for a couple weeks is coming back to find that your local gym has put up some new routes in your absence. ;) I flashed a couple 5.9+s, and also went up a 5.10b, though took a few tumbles. I think with a couple more tries, though, I should be able to climb it clean. I got fought off by an unrated route that felt quite tough -- I couldn't get the opening move, though mostly on power, since it started off with a really tough arm-strength move.
Also dropped by my parents to pick up some left-over Turkey, and got to see their new toy. They bought a Roadtrek 190 Popular -- that is a class B RV -- a big van converted to be a small RV. It looked quite comfy, and had a lot of nice features -- camping my style, rather than gabriel_le's style. (She's far more into the "a tent is luxury" than I am.)
