Bloody Fucking Cold

On the drive in to work today the temperature was -30, -43 with windchill (that's -26, -46 with windchill in American). The (predicted) HIGH for today is -25. And, it's not even winter yet. Brrr. Fucking Brrr.

I'm clearly turning into a complete wuss. I was thinking about my childhood playing outside in -40 weather in Edmonton and Prince Albert as I huddled under the heater in the bus shelter on my way to work today. WAY TOO COLD!!!

Damn, with temperatures like that, you should be able to call in 'too fricking cold to leave the house' to work.

Well, you can't exactly call in "too fricking cold", but you can call in "my car didn't start" and people will believe that.

igive, there is actually a draught somewhere and i am feeling chilly and i am wearing wool sockies :( although T and the kids are out and I am going out, it is damned cold out...ok it is cold, but as i have said repeatedly it is Dec and it is OTTAWA lol but ok brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I have no basis to understand such temperatures, no matter what temperature units are being used. I have *never* experienced anything even close to that.

Not even in my youthful food-service-job days. Because...walk-in industrial freezers...are *WARMER* than that.
