party and finally meeting

I went to i&t&t_j's housewarming party this afternoon/evening. A very pleasant time -- was really good to see t_j again after so long. Didn't go in the pool, since it wasn't really warm enough for me to want to go swimming, but did play a few games of DDR. It is fun, and despite gabriel_le asking me if it was on my purchase list, not fun enough to go out and buy. Now, if they'd had retro-80s music...

Also, I finally met athena_51 in the flesh and blood, rather than just being an LJ presence. That was good -- she seems to be a cool person. Another time I may actually let her throw me in the pool.

Hope your trip home went smoothly, and would be cool to see you when you make it back to Ottawa in August, as I think you mentioned that you were, or were planning to do?

Any idea when in August? I know I'm gone bits of it -- not sure which bits at the moment, until I check work schedule. Probably do that later this evening, when I VPN in to work. After dinner, yeah.

I think I've heard of some software that DDR-izes any music. If it exists, it could be cool!

If you wait a bit, a surprising amount of 80's music is being remixed for the dance floor, and will show up on DDR all by itself. Much of it, of course, is utter cheese, but there's the occasional good one in there.

I'm all for tossing reasonably consenting people into pools!

I can understand that. Too many remixes just use the same damn 8 bars over and over again. And again. And...
