Having a membership at Coyote is quite nice -- being able to just drop by for an hour or so, and not have to worry about whether or not I got my "money's worth" from a day pass is really quite nice. I do like it.

arndis and tchang showed up for gaming Friday evening -- getting here a bit latish around 8pm. We played TransEruopa (at arndis' request) which I won, then Antike which arndis won. Right near the end, I attacked both arndis and tchang to kick my cities up over a certain point -- tchang was trying to talk her into revenge attacking me, which was upsetting her. I convinced her to do the right thing -- simply ignore my attack and win the game, which was what she had wanted to do all along. As they were leaving, she was talking about wanting to buy the game cause they liked it. Am I an evil enabler of game purchases or what?

Tonight, I need to pack for tomorrow's trip to Toronto. I want to ride, but looking at the weather reports it doesn't look so good -- possible showers and thundershowers for Ottawa on Sunday, possible showers and/or thundershowers for a couple of the days I'm in Toronto. I may be stuck taking the car. *sigh*

Plans in TO:
Monday: poly munch
Tuesday: rock climbing. northbard, are we on? Or should I try looking for someone to pickup?
Wednesday: dinner with mycrazyhair, probably followed and/or preceded by watching (and maybe helping) her pack.
Thursday: homeward bound.
Friday: panicked shopping and prep, then away to cottage.

Also, tonight I should do a roast beef for lunch meat for the cottage.

I need to buy a bunch of quick-draws. MEC didn't have the ones I wanted. I wonder if MEC Toronto would have them in stock?

Re: Cottage...

I have a firm RSVP for myself & the kittens for Saturday, and an "absolutely" from Ox. I have raised the subject with Moria 3 times, and he has changed the subject, so i'm going to have to put him down as a firm "non-committal".

If there is a shared meal plan, let me know what i can bring to contribute. Otherwise, we're happy to pack a picnic lunch for the kittens.

Ok, it will be wonderful to see you and gang up on Saturday.

On shared food, it will make my life a lot simpler if your group can bring your own food up for the day. (There are 2 BBQs (though both grills have had meat cooked on them), a microwave and normal kitchen type space.)

While the lake is mostly quite deep, even near the shore, there is one shallower area off my property -- but the bottom of the lake is a bit sharp, so if you have shoes that you can wear into the water that may make supervising swimming kittens easier.

Sunscreen and bug repellent are both good ideas, though I'm hoping the latter won't be too needed.

I was just looking at my rotary slicer. Hmm.

So, if I bring the roast to ragnhildr's, can you have it sliced for the weekend?
