a busy life
May. 12th, 2004 09:58 pmIt's been a while...
Finished my week of training at GM to, I think, favourable reviews. I got things finished up by about 3:30pm on Friday so I could get out of there at a reasonable time. I had a mission. I left by 4pm, which was good, as it allowed me to make it to Waterloo in reasonable time to go out for dinner with
redsash and
corbet followed by dancing at Club Abstract where
horsetraveller joined us.
I enjoyed the dancing and the music, while loud, was not unbearable loud -- and you could even talk by shouting only a little if you were one room over from the dance floor (where we were sitting). Unfortunately corbet was feeling too well, so didn't have as much endurance as she might have. After dancing, we went back to Corbet & Redsash's place, where we had tea and conversation until far too late in the night. Redsash did some very nice roasted cashews, and corbet found the good chocolate to go with it.
Next morning, redsash and I drove up north to have brunch with horsetraveller, though corbet was not feeling up to being up. After brunch & good byes, I headed for Toronto, met (lj-less) Lloyd and Harry for lunch, then met
mycrazyhair and
srfsports(at least for now) for a nice dinner at a Thai restaurant. Had some good converstation, including some serious conversation.
The rest of the drive home went well, and I spent much of Sunday cuddling with D, who was at home waiting for me when I got home Saturday night. :) :) :)
Then, back to work this week...lots of busy-ness.
