My house has a labyrinth

Yes, my house now has a labyrinth, and should soon have two of them. gabriel_le wanted to decorate the two landings on my main stairwell after she repainted them, and suggested something fern-like, but I thought a labyrinth would be a better idea. She agreed that a labyrinth was a cool idea, did some research, found a few ideas, and put one on the first landing.

Yes, the lines could have been straighter. But, it was drawn free-hand on a grid. We decided that we didn't mind a little roughness on the edges. Completely straight lines would, actually, be kind of out of place in my house. After 140 years, nothing is straight, nothing is flat, nothing is vertical, nothing is horizontal, and there are no right angles -- even if there actually were when it was built.

I would seriously need coffee before walking across that in the morning, especially if I didn't have my glasses on :-)

But it's still cool, waaaaaaaaaaay too busy for me, but cool.

I plan to be at Penguicon; I've got a membership (I hope only one), and I've booked the time off work. I still need to arrange a room-mate, but that should be doable. Are you planning to be there?

I am seriously thinking about it.

I've asked J. if he wants to attend with me, but he's not sure at this point.

But then, I don't know if I could handle two math majors in the same place again :-)
