So, the travel plans look like this:

Sunday May 2, latish morning, leave Ottawa and head westwards. Meet [livejournal.com profile] horsetraveller in Waterloo for dinner, then continue onwards to Michigan.

Spend week in Michigan, getting to Tio's on Tuesday evening. (When do people generally congregate there?) Still have to contact other Michigan people.

Friday May 7, head eastwards, to Waterloo. Meet up with [livejournal.com profile] corbet and crash overnight at her place. Hope to be there by 10-11pm, and we're planning to go out dancing at Club Abstract (which she claims plays retro-80s on Friday night), and looking for other people who might like to come dancing (glances meaningfully in the direction of [livejournal.com profile] mycrazyhair).

Saturady May 8, look for a crowd for brunch/lunch in KW area, and for a place to do this. Figure on probably doing this around noon, anyone and everyone that would like to get together for a social brunch is welcome. Suggestions for location are, also, welcome. I haven't been local in KW for more than a decade, so don't know restaurants as I might once have. Contemplate doing something social and/or recreational Saturday afternoon with people from lunch/brunch. Then head eastwards once again, to be in Ottawa by latish in the evening.

Hm... maybe I should look for a dinner get together in Toronto on Saturday, the timing might be right...

Called the motorcycle shop, my shock absorber isn't in, so I will, sadly, be on 4 wheels rather than, the preferred, two wheels.

Aaargh! We're in Toronto the weekend of the 7th. No dancing for us. We're coming back to KW some time probably on Sunday.

Wait, did you say you'd be looking for someone to have dinner in Toronto on Saturday? That might just work. Email me, okay?

No dancing? Toronto? I'll email or call you later to figure out Toronto...

Dancing Saturday night in Toronto maybe??

While it would be fun, I don't think I can afford to be in Toronto that late in the evening. I'd like to be back in Ottawa not-too-late Saturday night (that being defined as about 1am), which would mean departing Toronto by about 8:30pm, which kind of makes an evening dancing impossible.

Unless you know somewhere to go dancing Saturday afternoon? :)

Crud. We're booked up for the entire afternoon. I'm not sure exactly how late things will go. Hmmph.

I still think I'm up for the idea of dinner though. It's not dancing, but it is between afternoon (when you're busy) and 8:30pm (when I should be heading out of town so I don't fall asleep between Toronto and Ottawa).

This could work. I'm not 100% sure when we'll get away from the afternoon event. But let's assume it's going to be early enough to have dinner. We'll be up on Eglinton. Would meeting somewhere around Yonge & Eglinton work for you?

I expect I could get to Yonge & Eglinton. I'll either be coming acccross the 401, so I'll have to get that far south, or I'll be down a fair bit south (visitting someone) and have to get that far north. Either way, shouldn't be too bad.

Let me know when you have a better idea on end-of-afternoon.
