Las Vegas (also YOW -> YYZ -> LAS)

We flew to Las Vegas yesterday -- a really bumpy flight into Las Vegas due to some storms happening, and also some chaos through Toronto. After waiting about 1h30 in customs for our luggage to appear, and multiple inquiries from the AC service personnel, it was determined that the luggage had been scanned on loading in Ottawa, but no sign of it anywhere in Toronto. We did a luggage-less clear in Toronto, then hoped. Luckily the luggage did come through.

Today we just hiked, because it rained heavily yesterday -- the ground was still wet, puddles everywhere, so too wet to climb. The sandstone in Red Rocks gets weak when wet -- and after a good rain shouldn't be climbed for at least 24 hours, 48 is better -- for the fast-drying cliffs. Longer for something out of the sun and/or wind-protected. So, tomorrow off to find some limestone, then sandstone on Sunday & Monday (hopefully).
