It was raining in Las Vegas and Red Rock Canyon, so we headed west to Death Valley. We did a few hikes, one longer one to some sand dunes (about 10km, though Mike did an extra couple km run around the dunes while I took a break), and a couple shorter ones up canyons, one up a narrow canyon with a bit of scrambling, the other to see a natural bridge. We also stopped by the low point, or almost by, since the actual low point is about a 3.3 mile hike out across the salt flats. For a non-climbing day, it was a good one, though it did include a bunch of driving.

Death Valley is really quite beautiful, and I'm glad I've now visited it.
