It was board gaming!
Jul. 10th, 2010 08:28 pmHad a decent crowd, including a couple new people show up -- one of which wasn't around for long enough to actually game. We played a bunch of games, too.
Ricochet Robots (me)[41], Dominion (me & ragnhildr tied)[80], Santiago (Caitlyn sp?)[6], Bananagrams (ironphoenix) [279], Set (me) [146], No Thanks (me & beable tied, ironphoenix) [3], Corsari (niall_) [2], and Tribune (me)[3].
Wow, 9 games. I guess you do get more in when they're shorter.
Santiago actually plays relatively quickly with 5 players, and yet still has some good stuff going on for how short it plays.
I've played Tribune a couple times, but not really had the hang of it. This time I was well ahead, but I think that was, to some extent, a coincidence. (Though, I won at least a turn ahead of the others, and almost had the win a turn ahead of that.) I, also, think the game may play better with more than 3. There didn't seem quite enough competetion for the various factions -- or the other players left me in control of too many factions for too long.
