Slam!

I went to the Capital Slam -- a spoken word (i.e. performed poetry) competition. I haven't been in a year or two, but wanted to get back to one. It was quite enjoyable, and poetry seems to be doing quite well in Ottawa now. They had a far bigger crowd than I remember from a couple years back, and they seem to be doing it twice a month (1st and 3rd Saturdays) rather than once a month. I quite enjoyed the evening, and I think I should get back again, rather than waiting two years. Unfortunately, almost everyone I remembered or knew from slam didn't seem to be around anymore. ;(
