Hooked on climbing
Jan. 3rd, 2007 12:16 pmWhen I started climbing, I thought it was kind of fun, and would be neat to get out once a week or so. Then, I started doing it more, and figured trying to get out twice a week would be good. Now, I'm wanting to get out climbing three times a week, if I can.
There are three bouldering routes, and a climbing route, that I'm "working on" at Coyote; and a climbing route at Vertical Reality that looks tough, too.
Even when I'm travelling for business, I'm looking for gyms, and going climbing in my evenings. I'm going to be in Montreal for a few days in a couple weeks -- and there are friends there I want to see, but I'm also twitching to find a climbing gym in Montreal for at least one evening, too.
And, I do like the variety of trying climbing different places, in different gyms. I think, soon, I'm going to have to look into getting equipment for doing climbing on real rock -- figure out what I need as far as rope, and hookup for doing top-rope belaying on real rock. (And, eventually, maybe even lead-climbing?)
