Another storm went through Lac Sam

Don't have all the details on the destruction yet -- apparently damage was concentrated on the peninsula, with more trees down than the last one (in general, not specifically on our property), to the point that at times it was difficult to find the road (Chemin de la Peninsula) when trying to walk it. Reports suggest that my parents' cottage once again dodge the bullet, though the hydro mast was, again, torn down. Current theory is that most of the damage was done by a microburst this time, rather than a tornado.

(This wasn't Katrina, but apparently a storm front that went through Monday evening.)

Gaming cancelled

I'm cancelling my gaming plans for this weekend. I'm planning to go up to the cottage with my parents this weekend, and spend it working on clearing trees and any other post-storm cleanup that needs doing. Assuming, that is, the road is cleared enough that we can actually get to the cottage. (Guesses are that it will be.)
