Had a great time at succulentpoet's housecooling party last night. Arrived at a time I thought was fashionably late -- around 8:45pm (invite was for 8pm) only to find that I was the 3rd guest to arrive and that, really, I was a bit on the early side. Luckily, one of the other early guests was someone I knew. People were friendly, and while there was drama, none of the drama involved me, so that was ok.

An amazing number of people were drinking Strongbow.

Hm... maybe she'll throw a housewarming party in her new place, soon. :)

Almost Vroom

The bike runs. It's at the road end of the driveway, rather than the garage end of the driveway. Now, I just have to gear-up, and I'll be on my way for my first ride of the season. Yay!

Did a spin around the city. Ottawa River parkway all the way out to Carling and back, then accross town, stop in the market, buy maple sugar, back on bike, out the Rockliffe Parkway to Aviation Parkway, up to Ogilvie road, accross to Riverside Drive, to Bronson, then home again.

Was very good to get out on the bike again. Now starts the season of checking the weather every morning in order to determine how I'll be getting to work that day.

I still think Ad Astra will be too early to travel by bike, but Penguicon might not be.
