I've been finding myself wishing for a many petalled flower (like a daisy), from which I could tear out each petal in turn, in an attempt at divination. Of course, this is followed by the immediate realisation that, even should this divination method be accurate, the information gleaned would be, at best, moderately useful, and maybe a starting point for a series of complex discussions, negotiations, and long round of "communicate, communicate, communicate". I then travel down the lane of (false) nostalgia, for the time when the result of said divination was all that was important, and everything would work out from there.

In other news, The Myth of Monogamy Fidelity in Animals and People by David P. Barash, Ph.D. and Judith Eve Lipton, M.D. is interesting and enjoyable reading.

You have all the business you like asking. Now, expecting an answer -- that's a completely different matter.

And, of course, along with the flower divination, goes the being too shy to actually say anything, or do anything. (Why else would one be asking a flower?)
