Sunday gaming at kattale's

dagibbsWe had a nice afternoon of gaming. I picked up ragnhildr and drove to kattale's place. While we waited for bytowneboy and his boyfriend (R) to arrive, we played a couple games of Fluxx. (kattale and dagibbs victorous). When they arrived, I pulled out and quickly introduced the various games I'd brought (just one largish suitcase full, a travelling contingent) and bytowneboy had heard of Tsuro, so we pulled that out and played a couple games. (I don't remember, maybe ragnhildr and?). Then pulled out the big game of the day, El Grande. Did a rules explanation, played through a sample turn & scored it to show how it all worked, then reset and started playing. ragnhildr led for much of the game, I overtook near the end, and in the final scoring I won, but not by a lot, with R in 2nd and ragnhildr in 3rd. If everyone had jumped on me, instead of ragnhildr, in the last pre-scoring round, I think she might have taken it. (Somebody forgot to instruct them in the everyone jump dagibbs thing.)
I think I may have new recruits for gaming. :)
