Lots of gaming

A bunch of games were played, with 7 people in attendance, including me, gabriel_le, ansfrid, buttongirl, green_ogre, ragnhildr, and donnav. I forget what all was played, or who won what, but I do remember that I got utterly crushed at Carcassone, and then in the 2nd game redeemed myself by achieving 2nd last. I think ansfrid won his first game of Iron Dragon, too. Other games played included St Petersburg, Tsuro, TransEuropa, Settlers of Catan, and Ricochet Robots. Yes, I actually played Settlers.

Also, I think buttongirl forget a meat thermometer. At least we now have one, and gabriel_le recalls her using it to test the pork, and it seems unlikely that it is ours.

*snicker* You have that 'special talent' for Carcassone too, hmm? Someday when we're both at the same Con we'll have to play together. After all, we can't BOTH lose... *g*

Usually I do ok at Carcassonne, but this day just wasn't my day. (Well, for Carcassonne. I did fine at the other games I played.) In the first game there was a completed large city and medium city that the other 3 players all got in on, but that I didn't. That really toasted me.
