I just spent the last day at the cottage, and while it was a very nice get away, I found that I had cell-phone signal there. This distresses me immensely. It is just NOT RIGHT.

Why did you check???

I was told today that one can get broadband access in the middle of the Amazon jungle, or wherever, if one is willing to pay in arms & legs. Presumably they are talking satellite service.

for his defense, we were checking the time and he found he has service by default, not because it was desired.

By accident. I didn't turn it off on the way up, pulled it out to turn it off, and found it had service. As gabriel_le says, I was upset.
