dagibbs | Some social time over the weekend...

So, managed to have some social time.

purplesofa was in town for the weekend, so Lorayne,

foms,

ragnhildr and I met for dinner at the Shang Hai restaurant Saturday evening. Actually, Lorayne and I went to the Yang Sheng at about 6:25pm, because that's where she thought they said they'd go. After waiting for a while and having them not show up, we went back to my place, found a cell phone number for someone actually at the right place, called, got the correct location, and headed back over. Conveniently, all of the wrong restaurant, the right restaurant, and my place were within a 3-block radius. After dinner, we returned to my place, where

foms was voluntold to make a chocalate cake for dessert, to go with the rocky road ice cream that had been purchased on the way home. It was a good evening.

On Sunday, I hosted some gaming at my place. D,

ragnhildr and I were the first to show up, so we started a game of Bohnanza, with D winning.

foms and

con_girl showed up part way through this game, and

foms joined a second game of Bohnanza, winning it decisively. During the 2nd game, our final gamer,

jacomothefool showed up. After some twittering, we decied on Iron Dragon for our final game -- though with a final start time of 4:30pm this was a risky decision. The game finally concluded, what with a meal break, around 12:30am, and I came out the winner (mostly due to a lovely double-Dragon run to the south, with a spells/spells/jewelry return trip).
