I'm home again... for 3 days at least. The trip home was longish, since I transferred through Calgary, but otherwise ok. Not bringing beverages on board though, was annoying, since I had to throw away part of my dinner in Calgary -- my stop over didn't give me enough time to wait for luggage, clear customs, re-drop my luggage, find some food, my gate, and drink the entire slushie/fruity thing.

Now to find someone to climb with this week.

On a totally different topic, I am looking forward to seeing you at ConClave!

I've tried bouldering, but need to get back to it. For now, I am happy with running several times a week.

Good luck finding a climbing buddy :-)

So how was service on the flight? Any chance that they'd be serving additional beverages/water to make up for all the fluids they're forcing the passengers not to bring?

Heh. Hardly worth asking, is it? :-P

I think next time I fly I'll bring a note from my doctor saying that I need to keep my fluid intake at or above .5l per hour when in dry environments. It'll be my special dietary requirement. Pessimistically, I'm not even sure that would work...

No food service. Well, except that you can buy some food/snacks.

As for beverage -- it seemed to vary, on some of the flights they seemed to make extra trips around with water, and were quite happy to give you cups of water if you wandered back to the kitchen, on others they didn't seem quite so helpful.

I'm just hoping this liquids stupidity won't last.
