Travel plans, updated -- it seems I'll be flying to England from Detroit, for a third week of training. Yeah, it was only supposed to be 2 weeks in a row -- but we'd have lost this customer for training if I didn't do it -- they weren't willing to reschedule.

June 30 - July 3rd (weekend) cottage.

July 7/8th - head westwards, by motorcycle. Visits along the way.
July 9th, arrive in Detroit, Top of the Park on Sunday evening?
July 10th, arrive Grand Rapids, MI.
July 11th-13th, teach in Grand Rapids.
July 14th, head to Cincinatti.
July 16th, back to Detroit.
July 17-21, teach in Detroit.
July 22nd, park bike in elizilla's garage, get on plane to Heathrow (London, UK).
July 23rd, arrive in Heathrow, drive to Bristol.
July 24-28, teach in Bristol.
July 29th, drive from Bristol to Heathrow. Be a tourist for a day.
July 30th, fly to Michigan. Possibly overnight at Elizillas.
July 31st, ride home.

August 1-August 11th, in Ottawa, recovering.
August 14-18th, open for work travel.
August 22nd, fly to Los Angeles for Worldcon.
August 28th, fly home from L.A.

Historically, summer has been dead for training -- just nothing. With 3 weeks confirmed in July, and a 4th customer looking at July, but probably going to get the first week of August, this is extraordinarly busy. Hm...

I hadn't actually been planning on attending Conversation, but have now looked at the website. Schedule has me arriving at DTW at 1625 on the Sunday. I'll first be headed back to elizilla's place, where my bike is. Dinner on Sunday would have to either be in that area, or be latish up Novi way. It might be later than you want to hang around -- dunno what your schedule will look like.

I was being ambitious so probably not then, part of the problem is that M14 and 275 south of M14 are both down to one lane all summer for rebuilding, which means a slow trip to Ann Arbor.
