dagibbs | Weekend... and catching up

Wow, am I ever behind on LJ. It was a busy weekend, at the least the end part, and I hadn't checked LJ since about noon on Saturday, so I was way behind. Still trying to catch up.

In some ways, it felt like my weekend started on Thursday, with an evening dinner, then wall-climbing, then falling asleep with gabriel_le. That was nice, after a couple weeks of first me being out of town, then her being off at Jim & pezchica's helping to look after the new baby.

Friday was another day of work, then dropped by buttongirl's where gabriel_le was desperately trying to finish her dress in time for Saturday's SCA event. Trying.

Saturday morning... wonderful morning cuddles, then errands.

Saturday afternoon, got to Dr. T-J's party for around 3:15pm, about 15 minutes after the official start, and about 45 minutes too early. Found T off at a neighbour's place chatting, I in bed napping, and T-J putting away groceries in the kitchen -- but got to chat with T-J, which was very nice. (Congratulations, again, on the Dr.) Was a very nice party, despite the weather, with some pleasant people and a chance to meet some of T-J's work friends. And, yes, the one advertised as cute definitely was cute. (And, despite sounding single, didn't sound very poly. Oh well.)

Then a wonderful Sunday morning with gabriel_le, followed by packing and a trip to Utah.

You know, there's mountains here. I didn't notice them until dinner time, when I finally left the hotel with light out. You don't seem them at night, and the training is being held in a meeting room at the hotel, so I didn't notice them until this evening. Real mountains, with craggy rocky bits and snow.
