It's a start

So, I must blame someone for this, and Caldarelli is the one. She did it. If I get hooked on the bloody thing, it's all her fault. Well, her and the friend that aided and abetted in my getting an account. The two of them, that's the ticket.

What can I say -- just got home from San Jose, after doing some training at Cisco for a week. Flew on Northwest, so it was through Detroit, and was very happy that the Detroit-Ottawa link was on a real plane (jet), cause usually that hop means a turbo-prop (very loud, and usually far rougher ride).

Welcome to the madhouse. It starts out as just a little journal, with postings every other day or so, but eventually it becomes this incredible time sink...

Not my fault!

So if I switch to an anonymous user ID, does that mean you keep blaming Caldarelli, and I'm safe from your wrath and/or heckling?

:-)

Thanks for the welcome, caryn.

Chris, if you switch... it's too late...I've already blamed you (and caryn). Well, you might be safe(r) from my heckling...but not the wrath bit.

Argh, I'm posting again!

It's the royal road to madness. No one is safe.

Repent now, before it's too late!

I have decided that, now, I will really blame this addiction on my crazy hair, and not on caldarelli, anymore. :)

hello!

[livejournal.com profile] the_siobhan called it "net crack" when she introduced her daughter to LJ.

you should know me. you also know [livejournal.com profile] beable, [livejournal.com profile] bcholmes, [livejournal.com profile] northbard and others you've already befriended. Actually you probably know lots more people on here than that. If you can't figure 'em out from the bios, icons, interests and posts, you've just discovered that LJ is a great way to get to know a new side of your friends!

A couple of those look familiar, others not quite so much.

IRC, and the other more recent IM/chat type environments are "net crack", or, usenet news is "net crack", or mud's are "net crack", or Everquest is "net crack" (actually, that one is "Evercrack"). There are SO many addictive choices available on the net...
