dagibbs | La Paladar Cuban cuisine

The other day (Sunday, in fact), Heather and I went out to dinner to the Cuban restaurant, La Paladar ( lapaladar.ca ), which recently opened on Bronson, just about the other side of my back yard. We both really enjoyed our meal, and the service was wonderful and friendly. I had a ropa vieja, because it was one of my favourite dishes when I visited Cuba, and it was tasty and familiar tasting -- just what I was looking for. Heather had the appetizer plate, and traded the one containing ham for some of my fried plantain, and she was quite happy with it as well, especially the black bean dish.

We were both too full for dessert, which was sad, because there were a couple of yummy sounding choices there, too.

I plan to go back.
