_The High Crusade_

Having just started, and finished, _The High Crusade_ (Poul Anderson, 1960) this evening, I am lead to realize that it is possible that I wasn't a faster reader in my youth, just that many books were shorter back then.

Also, it has aged remarkably well for a book from 1960.

Agreed... LotR- and Dune-length works were exceptional 50 years ago, I think.
