re-inflated!

I'm back from the follow-up appointment, my lung has re-inflated and the tube has been taken out.

I have very minor restrictions -- no showers until dressing is off (Monday morning), no water immersion for 6 weeks, and no air travel until August 5th. Otherwise, cleared for whatever, just I should avoid any more trauma to my torso.

I expect pain will moderate my activity somewhat, though.

I'm glad that you are getting better.
Do you have a plan for avoiding the "more trauma"?

Well, I didn't "Plan" on the trauma in the first place. But, I am going to avoid lead climbing on anything where I might fall for a bit.

Weird question! Did you know your lung was deflated? Like could you feel it? Or just that something was off/pain?

I did not know my lung was deflated. I had suspected broken ribs, possibly detached -- a deflated lung wasn't even on my radar as a possibility.

Thanks - something similar happened to a friend of mine years ago and it's always been curious to me about how we register these things.
