2 days of excellent autumn climbing
Sep. 27th, 2020 07:18 pmFall really is the best time to climb around Ottawa -- the temperature is reasonable (unlike the hot-humid summer) and you aren't swarmed with bugs (unlike the spring), the only minor issue is the days are getting short.
I climbed at Calabogie on Saturday, getting 6 climbs in. Then on Sunday at Lac Sam -- going back to TnA wall where I haven't actually just gone and climbed in a while. I had forgotten just how much fun, how good, the routes on that wall are. I also climbed 6 routes on Sunday -- but got about twice as much climbing as Saturday, cause the routes were longer. (The Calabogie routes we were on were generally 12-15m in length, the Lac Sam ones were generally 25-36m in length.)
