Tonic

Because a number of my friends, especially my British friends, choose to contaminate their gin with tonic, I have restocked my house with tonic.

I definitely developed an appreciation for gin and tonics while in South Africa. It has been awhile since I tried straight gin though...

I quite like straight gin, but I like many hard liquors straight. If you're not used to drinking stuff at that strength, though, it may be uncomfortable or not to your liking. I actually quite like cask-strength (up to about 60% alchohol) Scotches, even.

If I am going to mix gin, at least as a high ball, my preferred choice is gin & lemonade.
