Adobe sucks rocks

Ok, in the modern web age, you kinda hafta have Adobe reader installed, cause so much stuff is posted in PDF. Now, most of it probably doesn't need to be in pdf, and much of it probably shouldn't be. (e.g. forms to be filled out, as PDF is essentially a read-only format for most of the world), but cause it's out there, people use it. html, I say.
But, that's not the main part of the rant -- this is the second time they've pissed me off with their "upgrade" and/or install process.
The first time I did an an upgrade, and at the end of it, it rebooted my machine. Note: it didn't prompt me with a "reboot now" vs "reboot later" window. Nope, it finished, threw up a little "rebooting to finish install" message and rebooted. Did I get a chance to save anything? Nope. Luckily nothing important lost, but it left me permanently suspicious of them.
This time, having lost my hard drive, I needed to get the most recent PDF reader, especially as the current one was complaining about not fully understanding a file I was useing (and cause I had an oldish one installed.) So, I go to their site, find the link labelled for downloading Adobe Reader (7.xish), and go through the download... it downloads a tiny little thing, so I run it... and it says it has to download further stuff (makes sense), and it downloads some stuff, starts the install... and I'm installing "Yahoo Toolbar". WTF? Ok, cancel that install. And, I'm isntalling some sort of Adobe photo journal starter thing. WTF?! Not one, but two little, unannouced, riders on their little download -- I didn't have the option to not download them, they just came along. Cancel that install, too. Finally I'm installing the thing I wanted (kinda) the latest Adobe reader.
*sigh*
