Friday night had a pleasant dinner with my two house-mates, and one of them treated! Yay.

Saturday got a bunch of stuff done during the afternoon, including cooking a chili and making a potato salad for the two potlucks this weekend.

Saturday, [livejournal.com profile] metalana's potluck and scrabble evening went quite well. But, as I was primarily supplier of venue, I didn't record all the details. My chili did go over well, and I'm glad I made it, as it was mostly consumed as this was a potluck where most didn't bring many-course-ish stuff.

Sunday morning, [livejournal.com profile] ragnhildr arrived at a record-setting early time for gaming, a full two hours early. She did call first, and I was up, and had been for a bit, so it was ok.

Gaming really got started when [livejournal.com profile] iclysdale joined us shortly after 1:30, and we played a game of Carcassonne, won handily by Ian. While we were playing, [livejournal.com profile] pezchica, [livejournal.com profile] scubajim, and [livejournal.com profile] sofiandos showed up. We split into two groups, on played Puerto Rico, won by [livejournal.com profile] pezchica, and the other played (appropriately, I think) a couple games of San Juan, both of which I won. After a short wait for synchronisation, another game of Puerto Rico (with a slightly different group was played), won by Ian, and two games of Samurai were played, won by me and [livejournal.com profile] ragnhildr. Our other room-mate also joined for the 2nd game of Samurai, raising the total gamer count to 7.

Around about this point, people started showing up with food... actually [livejournal.com profile] buttongirl and [livejournal.com profile] ansfrid showed up with huge piles of food, most of which they refused to share. The big meanies. (Buttongirl is cooking/pre-cooking for the Feast of Hare (sp?), and is storing a bunch of it in my deep freeze, so this was a storage drop off.) Unfortunately, Ian had to leave. [livejournal.com profile] foms arrived with a new game, and some food, and [livejournal.com profile] leolac got back from a course. We waited until about 7:15, then dug in to the grub. Part way through dinner, [livejournal.com profile] g42 showed up and introduced herself, then while we were relaxing after dinner, lj-less?-Carleen joined us, intelligently choosing to bring desert knowing her timing. Total of, if I've counted correctly, 11 for potluck.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] leolac, [livejournal.com profile] foms, and [livejournal.com profile] ragnhildr for help with cleanup.

I must do this again, probably in two months time. :)

two month's time, eh? You were thinking of planning something for next weekend, lol.

I'm glad we booked other activities though, =).

Yeah, I got that with the "another game of Puerto Rico (with a slightly different group was played), won by Ian" statement, cause iclysdale was too long to type again.

Two months for the next gaming and poly potluck. I was talking about just doing a gaming get-together for next weekend.
