Thanksgiving Plans - Conclave

For Canadian Thanksgiving I am, as usual, going to the U.S.

Currently plans look like:

Thursday October 6th, after work, ride (drive) to Toronto, overnight with the wonderful mycrazyhair and whynotsteve.
Friday October 7th, get up and head west/northwest. Anyone in KW interested in brunch on Friday, October 7th, probably around 11am?
Friday 2pm-3pm arrive Sarnia, transfer stuff to jeffreyab's car, and head for Lansing.
Friday dinner time arrive at Conclave.
Friday evening - Sunday evening, party at Conclave.
Sunday evening, drive back to Jeff's place, and overnight there.
Monday October 10th, drive home. Possibly stopping on Toronto (or KW) for a social event if appropriate.
Tuesday, recover from my mini-vacation.

I never went, but i hung with the Ottawa SF crowd way way way back when... *grin*

Yeah, you probably pre-date me. At least, on the sf-side. Not sure about the gaming side. I was going to Cangames for a few years before I joined Ottawa fandom. I probably first showed up somewhere around 1982-1983 range. I think (I'd have to check to be sure) that I have Cangames badges going back to 1979.

I don't think you know Jeff, but I don't know for sure that you don't. It is hard to know that for sure with the strange fannish connections that do crop up.

Been to Ad Astra many times, but way back when. I think i remember Steven Brust one year, and Guy Gavriel Kay, and Barbara Hambly... I'd been a few times before that but couldn't remember the year...

You look familiar. I mostly know the old Ottawa crowd, only two or three of the Toronto crowd. I think my friend dated one or two of the Klingon contingent for a while.

I was wrong, my Cangames badges only go back to 1983, so I was joining Ottawa fandom around the same time. Makes sense, I guess.

I'm fairly certain I'll be at Clave on Saturday night, but I may not be there on Friday night, as I have class on Saturday morning. Either way, I should run into you. :)

Yes, I am passing through KW a week from today, probably around 10am. Would you like to have breakfast/brunch around about then?

Not sure when I'll be past on the Monday, that's the morning after a convention, and my time of rising is less predictable. Would make Friday easier to plan for, but if you can't make Friday, we can work on something for Monday. I'd be coming from Sarnia, a bit farther than Toronto (though less traffic) and it would be very unlikely to be before noon.
