Maybe I'm not a philistine, after all

succulentpoet was competing for the first time, and I wanted to be there to support her and cheer for her. And, I enjoyed it. Some of the poetry was deeply personal, some of it was political, some of it was humourous, and some of it was very clever. Some people read or said their poems, others truly performed the works.
I think I'll plan to attend more of these. And, hey, my cover is supporting the performing arts in Ottawa, and that's good, too, right?
