Good weekend in Toronto

I had a good weekend in Toronto, though I got home much later than expected. I saw lots of different friends, and ate lots of meals with the different friends. I also dropped by Ad Astra Saturday night, and saw a bunch of people there. I continue to disagree with the way they do things (like selling food and soda in the con suite), but there were several good parties that evening, and I had a good time. I was delayed getting home Sunday night, though, because my travelling companion had eaten something that really disagreed with her. Still, I was not too late getting in, by my standards.

The other interesting comment is that the new hotel lacks a bar for the authors to hang out in.

Since the Green Room is still serving beer I expect attendees see even less of the authors now.

I hadn't noticed the lack of a bar, but I don't look for one.

Ah, they're still serving free booze in the green room, while charging attendees for soda. Oh, Ad Astra, how I hate you.

There were 4 parties Saturday night, and they seemed pretty decent parties.
