Apparently United decided to send my luggage early... but not tell me this. So, I waited for my luggage, found it wasn't delivered, then went and asked and was told it was in lock-up at another luggage carousel. I really wish they'd told me they were going to do this, so I didn't waste half an hour waiting for luggage that was already there. And, really, I wish they didn't do this -- it probably means my luggage spent a while just sitting on the carousel with nobody supervising it, and anybody able to just walk away with it.
And, Avis tried to give me an SUV as an upgrade. Again. I keep telling them to not do this. My rental profile with our travel agency has this information. At least twice previously Avis agents claim to have added such an annotation to my Avis profile. But, apparently, they just can't get this right. They have a website where I can update my profile -- but there is no user accessible setting from there where I can put this sort of information.
On the brighter side, dinner in the hotel restaurant was good, and I have a 20-year old tawny port to sip while I'm posting this complaint.
