Been a while...

dagibbsLJ has been kind of hit or miss (and more miss) of late, so haven't posted much.
I've been back in Ottawa for a week, and I'll be here until August 21st! That's an utterly amazing 4 weeks straight in Ottawa. I really needed this break from work travel. I am, still, teaching 3 out of those 4 weeks (this week, I was conference-call teaching with some Germans in the morning.) Next week is no training, then in-Ottawa training the following two weeks. (Though, the final week may not, yet, be confirmed.)
Tomorrow morning I drive off to spend the weekend climbing (yay!) and camping (ugh) in the Adirondacks with K8, Celine, and Jonathan. The climbing should be awesome. On Sunday we plan to climb a route on the north face of the Gothics -- it is an 800' (250m) multi-pitch climb that goes at 5.6 (5.2R) and looks like a LOT of fun. Unfortunately, the hike in is described as "difficult, 3.5 hours". I am so NOT looking forward to the hike. And, of course, you have to hike out again afterwards. Still, it is a climb that Jonathan really wants to do, and K8 and Celine both thought would be fun (and all three of them actually really enjoy hiking, too). So, I'm going along, and I do think the climb will be good.
On the relationship life side of things, there is someone in the Michigan area where things look like they may be developping into an LD FWB type relationship that looks like fun. And, there is someone local that I met about a month ago, and who is NRE level into climbing which she just started doing about 2 weeks ago, and we went climbing together Wednesday and there was cuddling, and she called me "Hon" in a text message yesterday, and we've had basic discussion of single/not status (she's single, she asked me about what my "it's complicated" status on FB was) as well as discussions about poly that make it very clear that I'm poly and she seems ok with poly. So, we'll see how things go. :)
