Found a belt

Apparently a previous inhabitant of this hotel room left a belt (I think I'm reasonable in assuming his) belt in the room. Unfortunately it is too long to resolve my problem with my jeans. I'm sure when I bought them they weren't too big -- they were comfortable -- but now they are way too loose around the waste. As in I can easily fit a fist between the waist band and me, that is, with room to spare. I need a belt with them, but apparently this belt, at its smallest hole, is just about the same size. Oh well, I thought I'd had a problem solved.

I may just do that. I packed it home just in case, since I don't have anything to poke the hole with here.
