I missed my flight out of Geneva. It was late, and I didn't understand how they were posting the flights, so I screwed up. Extra night in Geneva, probably back to Montreal midnight or so tomorrow. Ugh.

I am teh dumb.

It does sound far more romantic than it actually is. If you look, instead, at it being 30+ hours and several hundred dollars late getting home, though, it sounds less romantic.

Still, just had a long hot shower, and feeling better.

When I came back from England, I had thought I'd sell the horse and have a few hundred or a thousand dollars in my pocket. Didn't sell the horse, didn't have the money, in the end I never went hungry or homeless.

It's nice to be in a position where mistakes are just money. Annoying, but not terrible.

The few hundred dollars are, as you say, an annoyance.

Wasting the day of time, missing a chunk of Worldcon, missing people, missing seeing someone last night I wanted to see, and being annoyed at my stupidity are all worse.

I can survive the financial -- money isn't tight for me right now.

I did get a good night's sleep...was so tired I fell asleep without even remembering to turn the light off.

There are more hiccouphs in the travel... but they will be resolved in North America. :)
