Not so much with the bridge, again.
May. 18th, 2009 06:14 pmToday was the 2nd time that ironphoenix, beable, ilanikhan and I tried to get together to play some bridge. beable was too ill to make it. (I hope she's ok.) And ilanikhan made it by, but spent most of the time here lieing on the couch drifting into and out of sleep.
So, ironphoenix and I played a game of Roads & Boats. We played the 2-player scenario "A Cute Little Sea", which was interesting. I was running a little ahead, until he misjudged a "need to move first" instance, and I grabbed some important goods that he was depending on. At that point, he resigned. It continues to be an interesting game, though. He may borrow it to solo play for a bit while I'm in Switzerland... after that point, phear him.
They wandered away around 4:30pm or so, leaving me with some time. I trimmed a few bushes on my driveway, but that didn't take long. I have eaten all my frozen meals, though, so I decided to start some more. I've got a lentil-barley stew cooking right now, and I've got beans on to soak for a chili to be made in the slow cooker tomorrow evening.
