I'm headed to Mexico for a week of rock climbing on real rock. With a guide. This should be really cool. I really don't want to push things tonight and pick up an injury.

But, I look at the tough routes (and problems), the ones I've been working on, and I want to try them again, to get a little bit further. Holding back is really, really tough.

I will not climb too hard tonight. I will not climb too hard tonight. I will not climb TOO hard tonight.

I actually mostly succeeded -- fewer routes than normal, and backed off on one thing that felt like it might strain something, and avoided another route for that reason.

But, it was tough.
