To-do list

Lots of things on my to-do list:

Play more boardgames.
Enjoy myself at Arisia and Confusion over the next two weekends, respectively.
Get the furnace looked at -- the fan was rattling today.
Clean my house.
Find a house cleaner, maybe.
Find a room mate.
Find a new girl friend. (or two, why stop with one?)
Go through my clothing and dispose of anything that doesn't fit any more, and never will again.
Clean and neaten up my computer desk area.
Buy more port.
Visit Wicked Wanda's and maybe buy some interesting toys.
Finish cleaning out the fridge. It could probably stand to lose a couple more levels in scare human.
Straighten up the Gorm room.
Actually get people together for a game of Struggle of Empires. Hopefully 5-7 people.
Get (exactly) 3 people together for another game of Through the Ages.
Maybe Long Live the King again, too. (Though, oddly, I still find myself more inclined to GM it than play in it.)
Get my car fixed -- the automatic transmission fluid has a slow leak, and I think the right rear tire may also.
Write some reviews or session reports for BGG.
Return ilanikhan's serving platters.
Go through all my bed linens and organise them by size. (queen, double, twin, single). Then keep them separated.

not as fun as buying port, but...

A housecleaner or house-organizer can help with the fridge and the desk and the Gorm room. If you don't trust them to do it all, stand there making decisions about objects, while they sort, neaten and scrub.

The other approach to your desk is to pull everything off it, into a box. Then put back only the objects that belong on the desk. It helps to have extra containers for groupings of objects that belong elsewhere.

The fridge I'm not actually worried about -- I've been making progress on it for the last little while.

The Gorm room & desk -- yeah. I don't think either is something I'm at the point of paying someone for help with, though.

Housecleaners rock and I totally recommend them - worth every penny!! AFAIK the usual arrangement is that you do the tidying and they do the cleaning. We get people in once a month to scrub the bathroom, clean floors, etc. and hence have to straighten the place up at least once a month so they can get to said surfaces. The difference it makes is unbelievable.

I have had housecleaners before -- but they moved out east. Do you have some that you can recommend? Discretion is... helpful.

Sorry to hear you're in the market for a new girlfriend. *hugs*

Well, we just go to ATC Cleaners...not really my preference (I'd much rather give money to someone directly than through a larger company) but they do a good job. http://www.we-clean.ca/

Well, I'll try to help with some of these, although I doubt I can be a suitable girlfriend, let alone two!

Well, you might know someone... or might know someone who might know someone... you know.
