I decided to hit the climbing gym today, see what I could do three-limbed. Not too bad, actually. I started with the baby wall, and that was easy. I then climbed three different 5.7 routes without too much difficult. That is, cleanly and without falling on the rope. Then there was this interesting 5.9 I kept looking at. I made it most of the way up, but couldn't do the finishing move. I finally cheated, added one foot hold, and finished it.
All in all, I'm quite happy with the results.
But, oh it was hard looking at this or that bouldering problem or climbing route, and picturing the moves, and not being able to get on the wall and just do it.

Date: 2008-12-18 03:12 am (UTC)(I still can't go for long walks, but almost everything else is back to normal. No more cast, but now getting physical therapy twice a week. Even did pilates twice this week--with only two moves I had to modify. Whew. And oy, my abs are letting me know they're there.)
