Next couple of weeks out of the country...

Saturday at 18:40 I fly to the UK. It looks like I'll actually get a chance to use one of my upgrade certificates on this flight, and fly in some comfort. That's really nice for the flight over, as that is an overnight flight and getting some sleep is good.

I'll be in Stoke-on-Trent, which doesn't look to have any climbing gyms, but isn't far from an park area labeled as "The Peak District", and it looks to be about an hour's drive from a couple decent looking rock gyms. I'm hoping to find some local climbers, but don't know if I'll succeed.

I fly home on Saturday, by way of Halifax, and my flight is supposed to arrive in Ottawa for 1725.

Then on Sunday, I'm off to Michigan for the week, up near the GM plant in Warren again. Hopefully I'll get some climbing in with people, and get to visit with people. Maybe the usual Tio's get together as well as other stuff. I should arrive around 6pm, and head home around 10pm on Friday.

Yeeha!

(Then, 2 weeks in Ottawa, followed by 2 weeks in Germany.)

If you're going to be in the Peak District (very beautiful) why not go climb on some real rocks?

I've posted on both rockclimbing.com and www.ukclimbing.com to try and recruit a climbing partner for an outing to the Peak District. If I don't succeed that way, I'm hoping that by dropping by the local gym(s) I can find someone who would like to take me out to a local crag.

I may try just wandering out into the district if I can figure out where to actually go and see if I can pick up a climb or two should I not get any bites on the interwebs.
