I am lacking in exciting plans for this evening. :(

If anyone is inspired, I am looking for such...

Otherwise, I fear, I will be doing laundry.

Pho?

I know, it's not terribly exciting. But this is me, also feeling bored and anti-laundry, and soup is an option.

Either right now or 90 minutes hence -- there is SOME housework I want to do, for which I desire a block of undisturbed time, but before or after is all one to me.

HA! You missed Ragnhildr, Foms, Con_girl, and I and the EXXXXXCCCCCITTTING BELLLY DANCING.

Erm, we had a very pleasant meal until the EEEEEXCCCCCCITTTTTING BEELLLLYYY DAAANNCCERRR started dancing.

Given the number of people I know who enjoy middle eastern dancing as a hobby I wasn't particularly impressed - largely because her moves were average by comparison, her costume was horrible, and apparently she could only dance if the music got turned up so loud that it negated all conversation.

Apparently I did. I don't remember seeing any notice/invitation for this exciting meal, though.

Where was this?

It was admittedly last minute and we left earlier than you posted. We were supposed to be having veggie cabal dinner (minus the veggies) at con_girl's. Con_girl and Ragnhildr forgot so they phoned me up at work to arrange meeting downtown and going out for dinner instead and we went to Kasbah Village on Laurier.

I had previously never gone there because I had heard disrecommendations in the past. Overall I thought that the food was quite good, the service was uneven (some excellent notes some bad), the atmosphere was pleasant until the dancer came on with the blaring fake-electronica-Morrocan-almost music, and the fact that the dancer was visibly put out when [livejournal.com profile] foms failed to stare entranced and mesmerized at her tits was priceless.

Wait, are you saying that a social outing was organised sans LJ? Is that truly possible in this day and age?

This sounds like another kind of disrecommendation, too, unfortunately.

...allow me to giggle, but yes, that must have been priceless. I have never been in that restaurant, and had heard they had belly dancers... I wonder what she'd have thought of me, who would have looked critically, not lustily, at her moves. :)

Not making me want to dive in any time soon...

If they weren't also Entertainment Book cheapskates (within the rules but poor policy IMO) I would be willing to go back on a non-dancing night.

Con_girl said that this was the first time she had ever gone there while there was dancing.
