post-Confusion report

dagibbsThough unfortunately starting far later than I had expected, and ending earlier than I often like, the time I did have at Confusion was pretty damn good.
Michael picked me up at the airport at 8am and whisked me to the hotel, where I got my badge, had a nice pancake breakfast including a Pac-Man pancake, then went down to Ops to do a 4-hour shift. After my shift, I grabbed myself a couple hours nap, then headed out to dinner at a Pizza and wine bar with Michael, tammylc, eviljohn, and Eric and Jenny (who I think are from Toledo). After dinner was some port drinking with friends, then a visit to the parties, mostly ending up spending time at the pirate party. Bed time occurred sometime around 4:30, and I then woke up around 9am and was up by 10am. Random good-byes in the morning after another pancake breakfast and Michael kindly whisked me back to the airport.
The flights to Mexico went relatively smoothly after that -- we were just a bit delayed out of Houston, but it was the last leg and didn't cause any problems.
