That was a party!

The party went well last night. I had a good time, I think everyone had a good time. At least two people had a VERY good time. Port was enjoyed by many, and I think my choice of healthy party food was a good one. My current count of people in attendance (including me) is 28, but it is possible I've forgotten someone.

Thank you all for coming. Thank you for the various presents. Thank you for bringing interesting beverages or snacks or delicious chocolate. This was a wonderful birthday.

I think I should buy a bottle of port, now, for my 50th birthday.

How wonderful of you to host such an event to honour your fortieth. Thank you so much. It was indeed a splendid time, you have lovely friends and it was a pleasure to meet the new friends and be pampered by my dear old friends. Your choice of food was marvellous, although I did migrate to the truffle tree far too much, and am paying for it today. :P
