back from a weekend away...

dagibbsLooked at the weather report -- snow, rain, freezing temperaturs, and decided that I'd take the car instead of the bike for my trip to Michigan. While I did get rained on the first day out (Thursday, Ottawa-Toronto leg), the rest of the trip was pleasant enough and could have been done by bike. Oh well, was my first trip in my new car, so that's ok too.
First stop was Toronto, to see some old friends and their new (to them) house. Not a new house...about 100 years old. Caught up, exchanged a bunch of renovation/repair (horror) stories, and got on my way on time Friday morning.
Had lunch with mycrazyhair, and as she posted, we had a good discussion over lunch.
Continued on to Conclave, in Lansing. It was smaller than it has been in past years, and Friday evening, especially, was quiet. Saturday picked up, with more people showing up, or maybe, just being evident, and I had fun dancing Saturday evening. Overnighted Sunday night at jeffreyab 's to save a bit on the driving time as he is closer to home than Ann Arbor (my original Sunday night planned location) is. And, made it home safely today.
Only 450 (or so) spam to delete since I last checked my email on Thursday before leaving.
