climbing stuff arrived

My new climbing gear -- rope, helmet, crash pad, some biners arrived from MEC today. Yay. Now to figure out where to find information on outdoor climbing in the Ottawa area. I wonder if there's an online web page somewhere with that information.

MEC used to have a book or two on it. The canonical outdoor climbing area here is the Eardley Escarpment, along the West edge of Gatineau Park, but there may be others.

From what someone at Coyote said, there is a book about climbing on the Eardley Escarpment, but it is no longer in print. They have a copy that people can borrow (while there) and look at. But, I think a friend of mine who has mostly gotten out of climbing has a copy, too, and I also think he's willing to long-term lend it to me.

I also understand there's a bit of rock out Calabogie way, and some bouldering near Cite de Jeunes collegiate in Gatineau.

I actually did find some web resources -- but don't have a printer at home. I may be printing some of it out from work.
