Nov. 4th, 2018 08:46 pmA short trip this time -- just to Auburn Hills, Michigan.
It is kind of nice following the GPS through the dark, and actually having a pretty good big-picture idea of where you are, where the turns are taking you, and recognizing many of the major routes. And not having to just blindly trust, but to feel like, yes, you are going the right way. While I don't know this particular part of SE-Michigan very well, I do know the area as a whole well enough to have that sense of whereabouts. And, so often, I'm just blindly trusting that the GPS knows what it is doing. There aren't many places I travel on business where I do have that mental map -- another where I do somewhat is Silicon Valley, CA, though not as solid as around here.
