Bangalore/Bengaluru

I've now arrived in Bangalore or Bengaluru (as both seem to be in use), India.

This is going to be a very different experience from China -- there the hotel was very high-end and western, here, not quite so much. smile emoticon:)

Also, I haven't been in a non-hour-aligned timezone in quite a while. India is UTC+5:30, so that means 10.5 hours from Ottawa time, and -2.5 from Beijing (which was +8).

Test-walked to work

I made sure I could find the building I need to be at tomorrow. Walking there was an interesting experience. In some ways, reminds me of walking around in Mexico.

Crossing multi-lane intersections/traffic is chaotic. Lots of horns blowing -- but that seems mostly informative, not how horns are used in USA/Canada. And the vehicles are generally moving slowly enough that it doesn't seem TOO dangerous to be a pedestrian.
